So my board has a bluetooth adapter built in and won't find anything even though there are many things to find, so I bought another one but it's nextech and only has a cd for driver and I have no cd drive..... so what do I do? nothing seems to be able to make bluetooth run. I posted the other day but no one seemed to have any solutions.....

I don't have a direct solution but about the lack of CD drive. If you go to the manufacturers website for the BT adapter you bought and look up its page you should be able to find the latest driver to download (usually a .exe file) then you can install the driver without the CD.

Download driver from Asus website even the generic ones should work. Update motherboard bios.

What are you trying to connect?

How are you connecting?

What OS are you using?

Anything, at all, there are multiple bluetooth devices that will connect to any other device but my pc detects no bluetooth devices at all and it is Windows 10

Try from the classic control panel not the new one.

It just shows that it's searching for bluetoothe devices...  but finds none

So you have installed the Bluetooth driver for your board?

Go to DM and post a screen shot of your bluetooth controller.

I installed the asus driver many times and this is the result each time

So no brand on the Bluetooth adapter, just a generic name. Hmm.. I'll have to double check on my board to see what it is, I remember it was Atheros after installing the drivers for it. But, I have a X99 Deluxe not the Rampage V Edition 10. I doubt Asus will swap the wifi/bt combo module between these boards. What I meant was, I believe it's the same wifi/bt module used on the X99 Deluxe/II and Rampage V Edition 10.

Found out that Atheros Bluetooth was the module used in my netbook and not my desktop. On my desktop, in device manager, it has the exact same "Bluetooth USB Module" and "Broadcom 802.11ac Network Adapter". Checking out that "Bluetooth USB Module" in details shows that, it's also by Broadcom. So I'm assuming 95% that the module in your board is the same as the in my board.

Try this and see if it works

1. Download Bluetooth driver from the link below. Select Windows 10 64bit. The Bluetooth driver is only 29.82MB

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/X99DELUXE/HelpDesk_Download/

2. Go to device manager and uninstall "Bluetooth USB Module"

3. Restart

4. Double check the wifi/bt antenna that came with your board is firmly plugged in.

5. Install the Bluetooth USB driver you have just downloaded

6. Click start, settings, devices, and left side bluetooth

7. Turn Bluetooth ON

8. Turn device you want to connect on as well as its bluetooth

Move the antenna to a different position and see if that helps
