Any ideas for an upgrade to a psu? I'm currently running a 500W evga 80+ white and would like to eventually get to where I'm running either a ryzen 1700 build with a possibility of crossfire (but not likely)  or an 7700k paired with at the most a 1070.

would a 650W be beefy enough to compensate for either goal? I'm on the fence about overclocking, probably won't oc until I need to later in the cpu's life to boost longevity.

Wattage of a PSU is important, however you should more prioritize build quality.

Get something at least tier 3 from the tier list. The EVGA white isn't a good PSU.

^^^^ this

450-550 watts should be fine, something like the corsair cx450m (grey) should work.

I was actually looking at the EVGA SuperNova G2 650w since I wanted to have gold rating just didn't know if the wattage would be able to hold up. Thanks!!

Hmm, I'll look into that one as well

Thanks!

The EVGA G2 is a solid choice. However the CX-M grey also not bad, just lower quality components.
