Corsair RMi 750W , Single Rail or Multi Rail

Go to solution Solved by tkell,

from what I understand Multi will limit wattage to each rail (cord I assume) and if that rail does not have enough wattage to power the device on it then it is better to switch to single rail maybe the power is not as clean on single but at least each device has the power it needs.

I am currently using PSU on multi rail ( using corsair link software)

On full load max power was under 225W ( found using corsair Link )

Which is better for me single rail or multi rail ?

I researched a lot couldn't understand which suits for me. Any one help me out here please

I have corsair RMi750W psu

my specs are gtx 980
i7 6700 ( stock cooler )

2HDD , 1 DVD drive
2 x ddr4 8gb

In your case it really doesn't matter but multi-rail is what I use if possible.

Here's a Linus for your convenience.

I don't know, sounds like that could be some issues like that or who knows what else. I run a single rail now 1000 watt.
