PSU Dimensions

I currently use a Huntkey HK350-12PP which I believe runs at 250w. What I want to know are there any similar sized PSU's? I've been searching for the dimensions but can't seem to find them.

After a quick google search some Chinese webpage specified that it is a 250w SFX psu, meaning it is smaller than a standard ATX unit. There are many PSUs in the same size, including the corsair SF series and some silverstone units.

I am trying to turn my personal pc into a gaming pc by upgrading the gpu and maybe the cpu, but decided it would be best to upgrade the psu first. Which unit would you recommend that's around 500w?

The corsair SF450 if you're not using very power hungry components, if you can afford the hefty price tag. It is a quality power supply, so you shouldn't have any issues with it

Not sure how much power my components use but Im sure it wont be much as I run fine on 250w alone. The only thing I plan to upgrade right now is the gpu from an GT730 2gb low profile to an rx480 4gb.

What CPU are you planning on using?

Currently, I use an i5-6400 but don't know if ill upgrade anytime soon as people have told me that it was fine for gaming.

Well, I just want to run games higher than currently. Most games that I run now, even on the lowest setting, run very slow. I want to be able to play. I like to play Rust, Overwatch, and Dark Souls.

When I was playing Rust on the lowest settings, I barely get around 12 fps.

With the i5 and rx480 you should be able to run all those games at max at 1080p, just make sure you have at least 8gb ram. Btw, please quote me when you have a question so I get the notification and don't have to check manually

No problem. Game crashes are a result of many different things, it could be insufficient ram, slow hardware and such. Considering you get 12 fps in Rust, I wouldn't exclude that as a determining factor in game instability. What motherboard and ram do you have?

Not too sure on the motherboard as I can never find it online but I have about 8gb ram and 2gb in gpu

Yeah I realize it's prebuilt, what manufacterer? as long as it is from a decent brand like dell or lenovo and has a PCIe slot it should be just fine

It's a Lenovo Ideacentre, Windows 10 and does have a PCIe slot or at least that's what the CPU-Z tells me.

I mean the motherboard in the computer, if it has a PCIe slot for the graphics card  sorry for unclarity
