My friend needed a build for rendering using custom software that he made (hence the beefy CPU). He doesn't need much storage, and the rest of the missing parts in this build he has already.

PCPartPicker part list:

CPU: Intel Core i7-6950X 3.0GHz 10-Core Processor  ($1618.99 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 67.8 CFM Fluid Dynamic Bearing CPU Cooler  ($82.39 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX X99 GAMING ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard  ($319.49 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: G.Skill TridentZ Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) DDR4-3466 Memory  ($584.97 @ Jet)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($93.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 750 1GB Video Card
Total: $2699

Does it look good?

If you are wondering, the software DOES NOT use the GPU, so I don't want to waste money on a better one.

TridentZ memory modules and the Dark Rock Pro 3 cpu cooler are not a realistic combination. The cooler overhangs all memory slots and TridentZ modules are very tall.

Unless the software is incompatible with Ryzen cpu, an R7 is a more economical choice. Performance is fairly close to that of the i7-6950X.
