ok so ordered the RM750x aka the cheapest option cause i think corsair link wont be of any use for me  and i dont need the 80+ platinum efficiency

I'm buying a new PSU, since my current one is kinda on its last legs.

At 1st i was thinking about the Corsair RMx series 550W, then saw that the 750W being like only 20 euros more(the 650W variant is in between and also is an option im looking into) and then looked into the RMi series 750W and that is 20 more than the RMx, and in the end there is the HXi series 750W, it kinda caught my eye since its 80+platinum but also it has more connections for the gpu power cables. Since idk if i will be going dual GTX960 or just saving up for 1 really good gpu like the GTX1080Ti.

Is the corsair link worth it? and what exactly can you monitor using it?

So my question is ... what should i get (options are also the 550W and 650W variants except for the HXi series)

RM750x - 120 eur

RM750i - 145 eur

HX750i - 170 eur

P.S. the retailer im buying the PSU from doesnt have any EVGA psu's

Mobo - Asus Maximus VI Formula Ram - Kingston HyperX Fury 1866mhz CL10 16GBCPU - Intel i7 4790K ;

GPU - Gainward RTX 2070 Phantom ; PSU - Corsair RM750x Cooler - CM Hyper 212 EVO

I just buy cheap ones, the're not that bad, but if you do, buy more than you need, they can be a bit misleading.

I want to have a really good PSU

in theory my PC needs like 430W at most ... and i should be fine with a 550W if i get a 1080Ti so idk

mostly i want to know about the different versions of the Corsair PSUs mainly if the HXi series is worth it and what exactly corsair link helps with

a 1080ti would be by all means superior than 960 sli, also get a 550w EVGA G2 or G3, that power supply will go to your tomb with you xD

The Hm is top notch but the RMi is more than enough. There's a difference in quality between the RM and the RMi being the RMi superior (according to Johnny guru).

All of this psu have 10 years warranty so you know they're a safe bet.

Corsair's RMi series are quite good power supplies, imo its not really worth it to even step up to RMx. As for wattage, 750w will give you extra headroom for either of the setups you mentioned, the 650w will easily handle the 1080 ti but might cut a bit close on the dual 960s, and the 550w will be fine for the 1080 ti, so just get what fits your budget.
