Best cube case?

iggybo

Hey guys,

I´m building a new rig as my old one is...old. So new build, new case.

Specs aside, what are your suggestions as for cube cases (so dual chamber cases) apart from the obvious Carbide Air Series?

Please keep it below 200$, as otherwise I haz no money for internals...

Cheers

Sometimes you can find the Streacom DB4 Fanless Chassis for $200 or less.  However, you may need to buy their heatpipe extensions and possibly the PSU, too.  Of course that would most likely fall into the cost of 'internals'.

I should have clarified: ATX formfactor.

Big is not bad. I just like the cube form.

So kinda like the Carbide Air 540 or 740.

I think a few of the thermaltake core series can be cubeish. Not really dual chamber though. I have a x9 sitting around. I think the x7 is still atx.

Id go with the 540 myself. Was gonna step up to the 740 for all the extra features but doesn't look all that great.

Spare RIg Lian Li O11 AIR MINI, I7 4790K, Asus Maximus VI Extreme, G.Skill Ares 2400 32Gb, EVGA 1080ti, 1080sc 1070sc & 1060 SSC, EVGA 850GA, Acer KG251Q 1920x1080@240hz

I'm thinking the same. The 540 actually looks more versatile and like the overall better option to go for.

The only problem is only being able to hold 2 3.5 hhds. Wasn't a big concern for me. I did buy a triple hdd caddy and put it in the 5.25 drive bays. Had to take that out for the 360 rad I placed in the back.
