Not really but if you SLI it'll make a small difference to your power bill.

I think I'll go for the p2 just for the power bill down the line. The amount we're talking about is so minimal now, I can just get the better option in some sense. Thanks for the help!

Hello.

My question is what power supply wattage do I need for this build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/K3Ztqk I put in the evga 750w p2 since that was the plan but then I thought that I might need 850W. I want to overclock my components.
The last question I have is go for Evga p2 or g3, the difference in price is about 20usd more for the p2 than the g3.

Sorry if I was a bit unclear but feel free to call me out. Thank you in advance.

A 550W is more than enough for a single 1080 Ti. I'd get a 550W EVGA G3 if you don't plan on going SLI later. If you do then grab an 850W or 1000W if you feel it. The G2 works for any of those wattage ranges.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Like others point out, it depends whether you'll sli in the future, if you won't an EVGA 550w g2/3 should suffice.

I'm thinking about it but and most likely will settle to get an extra one down the line( a month or two). That is one of the reasons I am going for the X370 chipset over the B350. Do you think the p2 price difference over the g3(g2 is barely noticeable in price difference) is worth it?
