Guys, is there a huge difference in fps between the i5 and i7 variants of the DELL Inspiron 7567?

For gaming, not that significant. (That's why I buy the i5 variant for my laptop)

For editing, rendering etc, yes it's a significant difference.

Yes, the i7 has the double the threads and faster clocks. Why not the Acer VX 15 by the way?

I'm also considering on buying that too. But i'm not so sure about Acer's quality and reliability.

Its real advantage is that it has an IPS panel not TN unlike the Dell inspirion.

The VX15 seems fine in terms of quality. Though the reliability of Acer PCs isn't so great imo

Just for reminder, only the 1050TI variant has IPS panel.

What about the HP OMEN 15? What can you say about it?

Nice laptop if the price is appealing. Usually the Omen series is overpriced

Shouldn't make a huge difference with just a GTX 1050 or GTX 1050 Ti, when gaming. I would also only recommend the Dell Inspiron 7567 if you plan to replace the display yourself. The display it comes with is very poor compared to other $800+ laptops. With the stock display it may be a worse overall user experience compared to some of the alternatives.

My usual alternatives list:

HP Pavilion 15t

Lenovo Y520

Clevo N855HJ (pick the IPS panel option)

Clevo N850HK1

Acer Aspire VX 15

I think it was only the pre-prods and a few earlier releases that had the not-IPS panel. The $799 one is still IPS. All the video reviews I see on youtube for the $799 one include the IPS panel.
It's a 45% NTSC color gamut IPS panel like the older Dell 7559. If a better colors are desired, I think all the Clevos in my list above use 72% NTSC IPS panels.
