So I was wondering is it better of using drivers directly from the chipset vendor or use the drivers asus provide? I know that Intel, Realtek have newer drivers for me. Should I update them from Intel/Realtek or wait for asus about a year or so for the asus ones

After building computers for 14 years and dealing with drivers I have to agree. After many formats and testing, there really wasn't any benefit to going back and installing drivers overtop of the ones Windows 10 deems correct and current. Albeit that doesn't apply to graphics drivers.

After a clean install I'll clean out the graphics drivers that are automatically installed with DDU and install the most current if there are no issues with that version affecting me.

I just grab the gpu drivers before installing, and install Windows 10 without an internet connection, then connect it to the inyernet after installing drivers. Or, if you want to use your ms account i just kill the connection after providing the login info.

I totally agree, I have done that a few times. It could be just a perception thing but it seems that if I leave the connection active while performing a clean install a lot of things are already being installed / updated before it even hits the desktop for the first time. In reality it probably doesn't save much time with having to clean the GPU drivers but it's w/e lol.
