Suggestions for new light-gaming laptop?

1823alex

So I'm looking into buying a new laptop, not sure what to get so I was hoping someone would be nice enough to help me find one that fits my needs. Price range is preferably under $800 US dollars

What I'd like in the laptop:

Backlit Keyboard would be nice

Preferably a dedicated GPU

I was thinking for CPU at least an i5 and for amd at least an A8 or A6

ram 4-12gb max at least 16gb

Hard Drive at least 500gb

Keep in mind I will need to use this for school to so nothing that weighs 15 pounds plz

Brand something that's not shoddy

I'll be doing some light gaming on this pc like Minecraft Starcraft 2 Team Fortress 2 and World of Tanks. I'd prefer to get around 35-50 fps in SC2 Minecraft and WoT. I'm going to buy a cooler for it so that it doesn't over heat and kill the GPU/CPU

Gaming Rig - Excalibur - CPU: i5 6600k @ 4.1GHz, CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo, Mobo: MSI Gaming M3 RAM: 16GB Corsair @2400MHz, GPU: EVGA 1060, Case: NZXT Phantom Full Tower (Red)

My Virtualization Server - Dell R710: 2x X5570s @ 2.93GHz with 32GB DDR3 RAM [Web Server, OSX, Plex, Reverse Proxy]

I love computers, gaming, coding, and photography! Be sure to quote me so I can respond to your post!

Agreed, just don't get an HP!

My System Specs: (Short list) i7 4770k, GTX 780, many SSD's, a 2 TB HDD(deceased :( ), Corsair 650D. Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kchriz6097/saved/8dh7YJ

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory
