Looks like there's not any performance upgrade. RAM overkill, SSD overkill, HDD overkill, don't need sound card
Get a better GPU if you can spend so much on those unnecessary stuffs.

I think you are overspending on stuff that won't help you much, also a 1070 is not a 4k GPU.

This computer here would give you even better performanc at 4k for 1/3 the price, leaving you room to seek good looking aesthetic peripherals

The thing is, it isn't just because it looks good and is expensive that will give you the best performance, spend where matters like a high end GPU and CPU, only then care about aesthetics, what should really count is how good your games will look at 4k no?

Don't you think there is something wrong when with 2000 we can easily make a much higher performance build than what you achieved with 4000 budget?

You literally are golden for years.  There's no need to spend $4000 to ensure that the computer will last awhile.  If you seriously need to upgrade something, just upgrade the GPU to a 1080 ti. Done.

There's no need to basically rebuild the computer just with stupidly overpriced RAM for an "upgrade that will last for years."

Nonsense. You can sync RGB leds for far less than $300. And the m.2 will be no faster than your current SSD. You'll want something like an Samsung 960 evo for that

I see, if it's about aesthetics then it's up to you how you spend your money. But as others have said, most of your upgrades kind of seem pointless and won't offer any real performance gains. You say you want the best so you don't have to worry about the future but other then ram, none of the changes your making will have a drastic impact now or in the future. 16GB is the sweet spot for ram if your gaming and 32 if your editing or doing any kind of professional rendering. 64GB is overkill, by the time a standard PC needs 64GB, we will probably be on DDR5 and a few architectures ahead.

Even your GPU is good.  Your GPU is better than what most people have.  You'll have no issue playing at 1080p for at least a few years.

Yes your PC is already really good, and you already have 16GB ram. GTX 1070 is more than enough to max out any game you throw at it on the monitors you listed in both your builds. In my opinion I wouldn't change or add anything to it, just wait for the next line of graphics cards to come out if you really want a new GPU. There are already leaks of the new RX 500 series and Nvidia won't be too far behind, and VEGA will be out sometime in the future too.

As for aesthetics, as others have said there are much cheaper options to get RGB in your build without spending $2000.
