AOC Q2963PM What do you guys think of this monitor

ever since I seen the 29"  21:9 displays Ive been like "can not has"

 

I have the chance to pick this up brand new from my local retailer for $350.00CDN

 

Not to familiar with this brand but Ive had good luck with monitors and my retailer allows 7 days to return.

I know the response time isnt all that great but meh im not that fussy

 

i like the i\o and included cables.

if u cant get a 2560x1440 monitor for the same price or cheaper get it and AOC is a pretty good brand.

AOC is good, they have been around since the 60s

No. 

 

The numbers are pixel by pixel count. 

So 2560x1440 is for 27in only

2560x1600 is 30in

And 2560x1080 is ultra wide

1920x1200 is 24in I believe 

And I think 23.7in is 1920x1080

 

27in is a great size. Ultra wide is awkward and messes with your computer sometimes

 I agree 27 is a nice fit. looking to sell my 27" 1080p

 

Im an anamorphic kinda guy. I did have concerns with compatibility etc, but after watching kyles gaming review of the lg 29" ultrawide i dont see compatibility being an issue with the latest titles. I dont watch movies on my pc but most software will force 2.35:1, which might look good if the source+ display support it natively

ive seen one in a canada computers stor. it was one of the best monitors there in terms of contrast brightness etc. was well built
