Hey guys, so I wanted to build my own PC soon, but Im not really sure what I should get.
So if you guys could help me out a bit and maybe create a few build for me or give suggestions, I would really appreciate it.
First of all, I dont know if Ryzen is worth it since I will mostly be gaming, ive seen they lack a bit of power in that regard.
These are some basic things u may want to know

Budget
Im willing to spend about 1700€ on my PC,
Peripherals needed, but no screen. Headset not really own one Thrustmaster Y-300CPX.
I already have a GTX 1080 Founders, so u can add that to the list.
I live in the Netherlands, maybe use this site https://tweakers.net/ since PCPartPicker prices are BS sometimes, but PCPartPicker will do as a guideline.

Aim
My PC will primeraly be used for gaming;
BF1, BF4, Titanfall 2, R6 Siege, CS, and future games.
(It must be able to run Crysis 3 xD)
I will use my PC for 3D editing, 4k Photo and 1440p Video editing/Recording as a Hobby, so this shouldnt be taken in consideration too much.
Wanting to Future SLI and probz OC

Dont mind overpaying for looks, as long as u dont say I should get an ROG Extreme Mobo

Monitors
Having a single one and saving up for something like the 21:9, 100Hz ones.

Oh, and I do need Windows which is 120€ so lets say the budget is about 1600€

Thx for the Help!
(Repost, cuz I would like some more opinions)

This is basically what I'm getting for my own computer, except I'm thinking about either Ryzen R5 or an i5 (depending on the ryzen 5 performance in games), an M.2 drive, and some stuff that looks good. (A really *bad pun alert* COOL CPU cooler, and some nice case fans for that extra RGB (who cares about air flow? Go for what looks good, even if it's a waste of money)

OP, if you just ignore the monitor, you might want to get this build, or something similar to it

You said you wanted some good looking stuff, the Corsair 460x (both RGB and non-RGB) are beatiful cases, but cases are mostly preferance, so go for whatever you like. (This is a place where you can easily save some money on my build)

RYZEN wins every time against consumer i7s in productivity and does well in games at a very compelling price.  I strongly recommend the 6c/12t R5 over a 4c/8t i7 (I have a 6700K so I'm no fanboi)

It's just for a couple of games, and a few other things.

My current OC (a laptop) has 750GB, and I'm only using 200 of those (mostly because it's an HDD and really slow)

if I need it, I'll add either 1TB HDD or another 500GB SSD (Sata)

the ryzen 1700 will perform much better for editing and rendering, overclock it to 1800x speeds and you get a cpu that is similar to the 6900k in rendering/editing performance.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

But the thing is that I want my PC primeraly for Gaming, and since the 6800K is better at gaming and I care more about Gaming performance, shouldnt I go with that then?

if you can get some 3000mhz ram or faster and do some overclocking, ryzen actually doesn't fall too far behind the 7700k.

RYAZEN will beat a 6800K at gaming, especially with fast RAM (I'd get 4200Mhz or so) it may even outperform a 7700K.  6800K isn't great a gaming...

Any numbers u can share on that topic? I havent seen any.

And sorry, but I wont spend nearly as much if even more money on RAM than I spend on my CPU

@iMike

Only 70 more expensive and is 866Mhz faster (3866Mhz) with RGB goodness

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/xFM323/gskill-tridentz-rgb-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3866-memory-f4-3866c18d-16gtzr

Both at stock for the most part, those results will improve with fast RAM

http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-6800K-vs-AMD-Ryzen-7-1700/3607vs3917

Finally, as games continue to improve more and more cores are being used (BF1 etc) meaning the extra cores of RYZEN 7 will have a great deal of benifet

imho you would be better off with ryzen

Im not gonna buy from Kinguin, rather have k95 RGB Platinum, and Razer Mamba, just cuz of the way they feel

And some things have come up in my life, aka driverslicense, so I have to spend money on that first, so I probz wont be able to have a PC till august, aka new CPUs from Intel and then well see whats best at that time
