Don't get any FX series CPUs to start. Also use pcpartpicker.com. What are you using this computer for?

AMD FX CPUs are horrible. Don't get them.

Get an i5 7500 + RX480 or GTX 1070.

Just wondering, What's that parametric filter thing you're using on PC partpicker.

seems like it picks the cheapest product matching the filter requirements, right? how do I use that, because it seems really useful.

yeah grab a ryzen 7 1700 and push it up to 4ghz - you will have more horsepower than a stock 1800X way better :)

Despite what you have heard, a 4Ghz overclock on the 1700 is not guaranteed, and you shouldn't be recommending that to someone who you aren't sure knows how to overclock.

Well even if you dont overclock - 66% of the price for 90 - 95% of the 1800x frames seems worth it
