Start Menu Issue

Hey guys, I've been having an issue with my start menu where I start to type something for a

quick search, it shows me typing but then it goes blank and the start menu goes away. I'm at

a loss and have no idea what to do. I've already done a shut down and restart but that did not 

fix it. Any ideas?

Just did for the third time with no luck, I guess it might be my system reacting weird to an update unfortunately.
