While that's a bummer, at least you are going to spend quality time with your brother. There are many headsets with two microphones in which one will act as a noise canceling mic. while the other one will listen for your voice. If it's the actual noise of your brothers Xbox from the TV, see if he would be willing to shell out some money for a headset for his console. Otherwise your kinda stuck lol. Talk to your parents about moving the PC to another room and explain the situation, chances are they will understand and work something out for you.

well im 16 and hes 10 so theres already a big age difference and i just cant seem to find a mic also its the noise from his voice my mic pics up everything right now

i share a room with my brother and have done for a while now i cant play games on my pc with friends very well as they can hear him on his xbox in the background so i was wondering if there would be a solution to this and no i cant move the pc to another room like does anyone know a good headset where they will only be able to hear my voice?

If you have Realtek HD audio manager, there is an option in it to noise cancellation and echo reduction.

Are you talking about a separate mic, like a snow ball or something? I mean how close are you to him? You could setup a little sound barrier so his voice bounces away from your PC area. Even better tell your brother to stop being so damn noisy. Other than that, talk to your parents about it. I know this may seem like a long shot, but you could see if your parents would be fine with you using your PC in the basement of your house if you have one.

have already tried with parents and no i only have a headset how would i go about getting a sound barrier in between us as we are pretty colse about 2 metres in between both desks

First be sure to put on push-to-talk. so that at least they aren't getting all your background noise all day. Other than that a decent pair of closed back headphones will be the best at blocking out his sounds.

honestly i'm in the same situation as you, except my brother is 2 years older than yours. my solution was to just move my computer to the living room. now it meant i have no privacy really, but hey, at least it's in a central location so any one can use it.
