So I let my brother on my new PC. He was a little sick so I told him to cougth away from my PC. Being a complete idiot he coughed and spluttered over the front and side of my S340. There are small spots of something over the front and side (not on the actual window phew). They won't come off with just a microfiber cloth. I have the glossy black S340, what's the safest way to remove these spots without damaging the case.

Use water with the microfibre cloth, it will dissolve the stuff and you can wipe it off. Then the water just dries, no damage done.

This, but filtered or bottled water works best.

It's fine.

It's no different from cleaning the screen on a phone.

The glossy paint is very durable.

Ah that's better.

What microfibre cloth did you use? New or not new?

I have cleaned my S340 with paper towels, water, microfibre cloths, and it is as good as new.

Some silk like microfiber cloth. IDK how to describe it. Does water leave streaks or marks. If not I'll just use it

You use one wet cloth to clean, then one dry cloth to dry.

And use new cloths that are clean and won't scratch.

Well obviously if your last one scratched it then it has some hardened debris in it.

A good clean cloth would not scratch.

Can I use a wet cloth and let it dry by itself or will that leave a mark?

Depends how clean your water is, sometimes water just leaves stuff when it dries if it has a high calcium or mineral content.

If I boil it in a kettle and then let it cool down would that help because my tap water has Floride and clorine

No, that would disinfect it, not purify it.

I don't think there will be any problem as long as you dry it well with a microfibre cloth.
