7700k temps and Intel graphics

Just wanted ask if anyone has tested this as I'm waiting for my graphics card to arrive I am using intel onboard graphics in my 7700k.

 

Is there a performance difference between the same 7700k using onboard graphics and using a descrete card? 

 

Would temps be different at the same settings. Can you overclock more when the cpu isn't doing the video?

 

If no one has I may look at this and post what I find once my gpu arrives and I can make the comparison.

What is your purpose for the computer? if you want to game you'll need at least a 1060 6gb or better so this great processor isn't wasted, the Intel HD 630 is not bad and is enough compared to useless GT cards but then again if you already spent so much on the CPU why not pair it with a good GPU for balancing purpose?

Op: There shouldn't be any noticeable performance differences.

I've been using onboard graphics with it OCd to 5.2 GHz while waiting for my replacement waterpump and havent had any problems. If you mean performance as far as gaming or video editing, yes. Yes there is a big performance difference.

 

I did have problems before I installed all of the latest updates using integrated graphics.

As far as CPU performance alone, no.  It will perform the same with the iGPU on or off.

Temps will be roughly the same, maybe a couple/few degrees warmer.  No biggie.

And you misunderstood me, the matter I addressed to was mostly that a "discrete" which I'd believe to be a low end GPU is probably not worthy pairing for such a high end CPU with a capable on board already, if he can return the card he is waiting for say it is a 750ti level card, it'd be for the best.

Discrete simply means a dedicated gpu, Gtx 1080ti is a discrete gpu.

Hah yea sorry about my terminology maybe a tad confusing.  The card I'm waiting for is a 1080 ti. I was referring to cpu performance.

 

I am also waiting for my delid tool to arrive so that should be interesting
