I think I'm just gonna wait for Ryzen.

Okay, thanks for everything.

Don't know why you're obsessed with 2x4GB. There's basically no performance improvement, they're more espensive, and they limit your upgrade path.

I read that dual channel is better, and I stopped reading after that not knowing that there's almost no difference

it makes a difference in premiere and ram-heavy applications but for the rest it doesn't make a flying fucking difference (including gaming!)

6% was the highest difference observed in those tests. It's not substantial at that level- just barely noticeable. There was a 1FPS difference in video playback during editing there. 1 frame. Went from 14 to 15.

Even when it comes to ram-heavy applications, it doesn't make a major difference.

I've seen it make a difference in the Premiere RAM restore, just take a look at some benches online. That's the only one that comes to mind.

idk

I have a feeling you're right, but I'll have to see if to verify it. It'd be cool to learn about why that presents a greater disparity.

My understanding has always been that the gains only start to show up when it comes to triple, quad, hex, and octa-channel memory, but the jump from single to dual-channel memory provides negligible gains- something that is reaffirmed in the Gamers' Nexus video I shared. Then again, I suppose that 6% would be more than negligible if intead of 14-15 frames, we went from 56 to 60.

You must be a special kind of bampot. It's possible to put together a respectable gaming PC that can play games at 60FPS high for less than $750 and include a monitor AND peripherals AND windows. Stop spreading the bullshit that someone needs to spend a shit-ton to have a good PC gaming experience.

People who spend $1000 on a PC are a minority, going by the Steam hardware survey. Not everyone has $1000 to spend on a PC, so you're either flaunting your wealth or, well, being delirious.

Stop quoting me thanks.

For fps over 150 fps 750 isn't going to be enough tho. But then again it depends on the game.

Well, I did fit a GTX 1070 into mine. Turn the settings down a bit and it's a very capable 1080p 144Hz card.

Cut back a wee bit on CPU power to fit a GTX 1070 in, which is necessary for 1080p 144hz gaming. Your CPU upgrade path goes up to the Core i7 7700, which is probably more than you'll ever need.

Hi again, I have edited your build and I have few questions

The ASRock H110M-HDV and H110M-HDS only say they support DDR4-2133 Memory, does this will still work? If it still work should I change for a cheaper mobo Biostar H110MH PRO D4 ?

I'm considering on adding 120GB SSD for system, what do you recommend?

Should I use semi-modular or full modular PSU or non modular is ok?

The card has no problem hitting those fps. At very high fps the cpu starts to matter and in most cases a locked i5 won't be able to hit those framerates in games such as say battlefield 1. In games like overwatch though it shouldn't have that much trouble.

If you have the money, upgrade the CPU rather than adding an SSD or getting a different power supply. Try to get a Core i5 7600 or one of the upcoming Ryzen 5 chips when they come out in a two weeks.
