So through an odd series of events I've ended up with both a GTX 1070 and RX 480 8gb.  I've run out of outputs on my 1070 with my multi-monitor setup and was wondering if it is possible to use the RX 480 for more outputs (a 720p projector).  I understand that the 1070 won't be able to run GPU acceleration in games on the projector, but for 720p the RX 480 is already massively overkill.

Will installing both drivers on the system cause problems?  If not, will all outputs support acceleration from their respective GPU?

you can use the other card for outputs, but I do have to ask - what CPU do you have? because integrated GPUs on most intel CPUs would be more than enough.

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Solitaire.

you could clone your OS onto another drive and have it as a secondary boot disk, essentially boot  camp but instead of MAC os/window its windows/windows.  Then get the 480 drivers on the secondary drive

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

I have a i7 4790 (non k).  If I want to game on the projector, I fear its integrated graphics may not be good enough.  Alternatively, is there any way to connect more than 4 displays to a 1070 other than with a hub which presents itself to the GPU as one display?
