Fx-6300 vs i3 4310

So... who is the best? I mean clearly amd because of the 6 cores but I'm building a pc and i want it to be future proof. What do you think?

PS: Here in Portugal they're the same price

FX 6300, no contest. The i3 is not good at all for its price.

pretty much, AMD offers the best performance when it comes to the lower end.

what do you mean?

you aren't ever covered for the future, just accept that you have your hardware and deal with it, make your PC and enjoyable experience by getting the best you possibly can for your budget and stick with it until you see fit for an upgrade

The 6300 rapes the i3, kills, repeatedly stabs it, then it repeats the process.

what do you mean?

he means that future proof doesn't exist in the tech world things are constantly getting better and you will inevitably have to upgrade your system sooner or later but if you get something more high end it will last you longer and will save you at least 1-2 times more upgrade cycles than something at low end-mid range so you will have to upgrade less often

why?

  • less power consumption
  • less hot
  • better single core performance

you know actually on newegg for the price of that i3 you can get a 8320 and that will be a much better buy here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113285 would save some upgrade cycles too

anyone else agree?

Yeah but here in Portugal they cost the same (110 euros) and the 8320 costs 140

yes but even then it is still a much better buy especially if you want it to last longer like you were saying future proof although it doesn't exist you can certainly delay the inevitability of having to upgrade with that cpu rather than the mid range 6300

it's fine if you don't want to get it man just a suggestion trying to cater to the future proof statement since you obviously wanted the cpu to last but if it is out of budget and or you need it now go for the 6300 still a great cpu better than the i3 for sure if you have the time to save it and are willing to save then sure go for the 8320 if not then yeah 6300

If the price difference is really only 30 euros that's the wisest idea by far, the 8320 or even 8150 will be a real step up.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

FX-6300 Would totally crush an i3. 6 cores vs 2.... then oc it. Boom powerhouse for $120 bucks...

The Vishera CPUs are even better waiting for next generation.. if AMD is not already done with these kind of CPUS...
