the link for the gs63vr is wrong, it's the 7rf, not the 6rf

The single difference is a 7700HQ instead of a 6700HQ it's not that important.

The 1060 is significantly faster than a 970m.  A solid like 60% boost I believe.

The difference between the 2 is extremely small.  About 8% which you wouldn't be able to feel in a blind test.

6XXX cpus also run cooler, because the 7th gen ones are almost literally just overclocked 6th gen chips.

More importantly, in the links the guy gave, the wrong cpu will play almost no impact on the gaming performance or overall reviews between the two systems.  The 6RF review will just have slightly more cpu performance and probably higher temps if it was a 7rf.

Ok, the performance is 62% better, do you think 400 euros (~430 dollars, ~347 pounds) more is worth it?

Heh, that's up to you.  It's a good boost unlike some upgrades (it's like the same amount for a smaller 1060 to 1070 boost).

But don't get it if you'll like go broke or something.  Depends on how flexible you are and what games you want to play.

My budget is 2500€ so the money is not the problem since I will still have 300 euros left if I buy the GS63VR. Thanks for your help :)

The GS63VR is 1.9 kg, for me it's light enough, my current laptop is 2.5kg without the power brick xD

I personally like both laptops, would be a hard choice picking between them if it was just based on the graphics card. But to answer your question, check what games you are going to play or want to play in the future, if you find that you need a 1060 then go for the gs63, otherwise go with the gs60. Also you may want to think about cooling, the gs63 apparently has improved cooling when they revamped it from the older gs60 model
