Hi guys,  so I'm going to be needing help on building my first gaming pc, I currently game on a non gaming laptop( yes, sadly :( ) and I've decided to put together enough cash to build a Pc.

I'm a serious gamer (non-casual) and I want this rig to perform, games that I want to play include - Witcher, Skyrim(Modded), AC Unity, Dark Souls and a bunch of various other games, I've been building a steam library for this very reason.

Budget : Not more than $750 ( I have to spend additional $300 for import duty and delivery charges)

I live in India but I'm going to be buying everything from Amazon USA, thus the import duty. I've done the math, its cheaper to import it from Usa than to buy it from Amazon India

Here's the list : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MfFNZ8

1. Still conflicted on Rx 480 vs Gtx 1060

2. Should I go for the 8 Gb variant (skyrim texture packs)?

3. Is my selected rig future proofed for the next 4-5 years?

4. Is the power supply enough?

5. Should i be getting the 212 Evo Cooler?

6, And lastly, should i spend more for a z170 motherboard in case i choose to crossfire/SLI or would I have to change my entire rig for that feature?

Thanks for your time :)

1. the rx 480 and the gtx 1060 are pretty close. but sli is not supported on the 1060. so keep that in mind.

2. I would go 8gb... more is more lol

3. hard to say what will come out in 4 or 5 years

4. psu is fine

5. no need for an after market cooler on a non k cpu... stock cooler will be fine as long as you have good airflow in the case I can't get my i5 6600 and stock cooler to over heat with a 100% cpu load stress test. gets to about 85c max... but i do have 6 case fans because well... more is more lol

6. most of the time sli or cross fire are a waste of money. often 1 high end card will out preform  2 mid range cards

Right, thanks, im not really looking forward to SLI, it's just an option. Also I'm really inclined towards Nvidia (Nvidia Fan), but I cant afford a gtx 1070 yet and also the monitor I've chosen has freesync, which in my sensible opinion puts the rx 480 ahead.

I'll probably buy more fans after I've set up the rig, what fans are you using?

My case fans are just some cheap ones that were on sale at my local ncix when I built my pc. With that much overkill they run slow and quiet. I really like my refferance rx 480 8gb . I'm not big in to first person shooter type games so 60 fps if fine for me. I haven't found a game that I play that wont run at 60 fps on high to ultra settings. but I haven't tried every game...
