So as of lately it's been starting to take forever for my computer to launch programs and to start up. Talking about several minutes and sometimes it just freezes completely.

So i was thinking about getting the samsung 250GB 850 EVO SSD -levy, 2.5", SATA III, 540/520 MB/s (MB 1/2016

And not sure if it will will work with my motherboard that is : Acer RS880M05

Also if you could link me a website where i can see component compatibility that would be great also.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Yeah it will work with it. SSD's use the same connectors as HDD's.

PCPartpicker.com helps with checking compatibility, but it's library is not extensive enough to also cover motherboard's like the one you have, they only have 'normal retail stuff'. Your best bet is to ask that kind of stuff here or do some research to check what connectors/whatever are required and seeing if you have them.

Okay, honestly the only thing i'm bit worried about is having the right kind of cable.

Also would it be possible to use the HDD and SSD at the same time, ssd for booting and hdd as storage?

An SSD (and an HDD too for that matter) require two cables:

1. SATA Power, which should be on your power supply. Sometimes the connector on your HDD has multiple connectors on the same cable, for easy plugging in.

2. SATA Data, which goes from the motherboard to your SSD/HDD. Seeing your motherboard online, it's the 6 blue connectors in the top left of your motherboard. These connectors are used for HDD, but also DVD drives, so you might see two things connected already.

Yes, you can use your HDD and SSD at the same time.

What you should do, is backup any important information on your hard drive, do a new install of Windows (or whatever you use), on your SSD, than in disk management you can see the HDD again and you can tell it to be your D: Data drive. That way you have your fast drive with Windows on it (and maybe some more games/programs) and your HDD for file storage. Effectively giving your 1250GB of storage.
