180mm series rad performance vs 120mm series rads

I'm wondering how a dual 180mm rad performs vs a similar rad only in triple 120mm size.

I'm working on building a case and trying to add in as much rad support as possible within a certain space and wondering if I should 1) bother adding 180mm rad support for one and 2) if I'd get better performance with a dual 180mm + a triple 120mm vs just two triple 120mm rads

thanks :)

Make sure to add 140mm/280mm support

A single longer rad is usually better than having multiple smaller units, but the main thing with the 180mm rad is the lack of fan options silverstone has a decent 180mm fan but other than that there aren't very many options out there.

Im going to guess you mean 140? 180mm isn't really a common size.

Yes. currently I have support planned for:

  • 2x triple 120mm
  • 2x dual 120mm
  • 4x single 120mm (with some fancy tubing routing)
  • 2x dual 140mm
  • 4x single 140mm (with some fancy tubing routing)

Conidering adding support (if I can work it out) for:

  • dual 180mm
  • single 180mm

And if I'm feeling ambitious

  • dual 92mm
  • single 200mm

Nope, I meant 180mm its not very common hence my question about bothering supporting it. I found one thread where a user said he  found the performance of an EK WE 360 (dual 180mm) rad similar to a 480mm rad.

Trying to see if I can get confirmation or denial of that claim :)

I assume they do exit, where can one buy such niche RAD's?

ModMyMods has pretty much all of these I think.

EK sells some 180mm series rads (used to sell fans too) on their site

Alphacool and Hardwarelabs both have 92mm and 80mm series rads on their sites as well

Yep :)

Also trying to do it all in a nice compact form factor too so obviously they can't all be installed at once. To utilize the most rad area it would be a dual 180mm and a triple 120mm at the same time.

You know, if you can make it all properly functional I'd say go HAM and try for everything
