6350 overclock or 8350?

Go to solution Solved by WereCat,

Just OC, don't even bother to upgrade to 8000 series. Better save money for Ryzen or i5/i7 later.

There should be 4/6 core cheaper Ryzen CPUs out in April.

So i currently have a amd fx 6350 and have done for a while now. Before you start insulting me for having an AMD CPU, i don't have a lot of money and that's why i own it.

I think it's time for an upgrade, do i spend days doing stress tests to find a better overclock ( it's at 4.3 now) or spend an extra $30-$40 and get an 8 core AMD CPU?

I know slot of you will say go to Intel, but i don't have the money for an equivalent Intel CPU and new motherboard, thanks :-)

Don't upgrade to a cpu from 2011 wait until you have more money and then buy a new platform like intel or ryzen.

My system-Core i7 6950X, AsusX99 DeluxeII, 128gb Crucial DDR4, Corsair 900D Titan X, Asus Thunderbolt EXII Card,Quadro M4000,Intel X540 network card
