Ryzen performance is not at its potential. It is a new platform while games and tasks have been Intel optimized since AMD decided to stop releasing performance CPUs.

I totally agree with you, but if this is true, the solution for this and the software optimization would definitely bring amd back to the market.

Agreed. Bugs with software may put AMD down right now as they fix and optimize everything on the new platform but this does not change the fact that they created awesome cpus within a fair price point.

Intel could pay companies to only optimize for their CPUs lol. Newer AMD titles will probably have similar Ryzen 7 vs COOL performance. If devs optimize multithreaded performance, then Ryzen 7 could be the new gaming king. So far more cores or threads have proven fairly useless in games. An over clocked 7350k can match a 7400 in some games lol.

I want to buy some X99 motherboard and CPU used after people buy Ryzen more lol.

Yeah, I'm having 7600k currently as that's probably the best gaming cpu right now, but it is so great to see the competition in cpu market again. I'm guessing that intel would increase thread counts or core counts on gen 8 cpus.

The potential of Ryzen is massive, but devs need to code for better multithreaded performance for its potential to show. Intel still doesn't have a response to Ryzen so I think they are waiting for new games to release.

I just skimmed through the video in case of anything new in it... and nope, nothing that hasn't been already reported by various other sources. It's the old L3 cache thing.

Why does it say COOL instead of X99? Dang autocorrect lol

All I heard was the software optimization, the cache is fairly new to me. I guess I have become an outdated old guy lol.

What if Intel has already created a chip twice as powerful but just refusing to release it until there was some competition from AMD :x

AMD has confirmed the quad core Ryzen CPUs will be using 2 CCXs, two cores per; of course, the hex cores will be the same config as well:  3+3.  The Infinity Fabric will be used on all Ryzen CPUs.

I mention this because the author in the vid states otherwise, as a prediction.
