basically MICROSOFT IS THE SELLER AND AMAZON is just a platform.
I want something bit more powerful, at around $2000. Also I believe Microsoft provides 15% ! and even apple does, my brother bought macbookpro here for 15% students discount.
They will only give you a student discount if you buy straight from them, no middle man.
Amazon gets a cut of everything you buy, you should think of Amazon as your local tech store.
Also, that surface book isn't that powerful at all, it is just a dual core CPU and a 965m. A budget gaming 1050 or 1050ti laptop with a quad core would wreck it in raw performance
