Posted March 16, 2017 I have a 2009 mac mini with a busted cooling fan and a busted dvd drive. I have already removed the dvd drive and fan. Replacing the fan is boring so I have come up with three options. I can cut a hole in the top of the case and put up to 140mm fan. I can submerse the whole thing in mineral oil. I can find a bigger heatsink and make it look even more Frankenstein than the 140mm fan idea. EDIT - It already has a SSD installed by original owner ☼ ψ ︿_____︿_ψ_ Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/752986-mac-mini/ Share on other sites
 I'd do the 140mm fan. The mac might get picky if it doesn't have it's apple certified cooler on it. Fine you want the PSU tier list?
