The gtx 780 ti is getting more fps in games and its cheaper, the only problem is less vram which is likely to be pushed up to 4 or 6 by EVGA as they always do that.

So why get a titan anymore, its weaker and more expensive

Because the Titan was released for developers who wanted to have gaming support for their systems as well (who are also gamers), which was actually a statement made during the release of the titan.

love how angry people get about the titan and its price when they are forgetting its for a certain market of developers. It's retarded how youtubers get so mad about it and how its not worth it compared to other cards for gaming and video editing(cough jayztwocentz cough) when they only edit little 5 minute videos anyway haha.

yeh thats right. Sorry about my little rage but urgh it frustrates me way more than just some kid buying a titan because hey if he/she wastes their money thats their problem but like slandering a product with false info when you have a fanbase is wrong imo.

For developers and content creators, it was never really meant to be a Geforce card. They made it one because they could.

So why not get quadro or firepro instead, quadro has support in quite a lot of games now and quite a few of them are cheaper.

It doesn't have the same kind of gaming support that the titan has lol

driver issues and hassle? people don't want that. If you dislike the titan, by all means do, however it has its market that can actually benefit from it.

Well,

I used to have a Titan as well, and it was and still is a fine card! I never understood the rage about the pricing, because those who got the money and were/are willing to spend this never whined.

Personally I had no issues and never regret that I bought it, I just sold it for a really good price, because my hardware is always in motion, because I like to try new stuff. But in my case I'm kinda lucky, that most of my buddies buy my stuff, since I put their hardware together anyway.

I understand, that for lots of people out there the price tag was a shock of the Titan, but you can't forget that the card was made for semi professional usage originally and that it was so good for gaming was... a lucky coincidence.

Nowadays the drivers a optimized for the GTX 780 and if you get a good third party cooler you can easily outrun a Titan. The prices of the GTX780s are ok and from my personal point of view nothing worth complaining about.

To be honest, I know that some guys won't like that, but I write it anyway... a lot of people were angry about nVidia, but AMD had nothing to compare with the Titan, so nVidia did what every company would do when they have a monopoly... they raise the price a make money.

On the other hand, I looked at a lot of peoples' signatures, and I find it very ridiculous people saying the card was not worth the money and use in their on rigs cards like a GTX560, 660 oder soemthing AMD like 7850... you can only get a fair statement about something you tried on your own. Sure forums and benchmarks like Linus und Luke do give you an idea about what the card or hardware in general do... but the only true way to figure out how good or bad something is, is to buy it an try your self.

Everybody wants titan owners to be upset about their purchase, but the only ones who seem to upset are non-titan owners.  They finally released a card that is great as a workstation card and a gamer card, thats freakin awesome. Instead of being happy for them making a new hybrid card for those who need a professional card and want to game as well, we complain about it.

Likewise everyone wanted titan owners be upset when the 780 came out because it was so much cheaper. I bought my titans after the 780 came... willingly.  For SLI combined with surround, 3gb's of vram isnt enough. I have no problem exceeding 3gb of vram on my setup. Do you need 6, maybe not yet. But you defintely need 4-5gb. I wanted the 780 to have more ram, i waited to see how much it would have. Had it had more than 3, my decision would have been tough, but when it only had 3 it wasnt a tough call for me. Being an engineer i'm loving my workstation. You can want me to be upset all day long but its just not the case. If they release a 6gb 780ti we can revisit this topic, but most of those who bought titans knew what they were buying and why they wanted it.

I hope no one bought a titan for 1080p or nonSLI configurations. If anyone has buyers remorse for their titans i'm sure there are many like me who would gladly take if off your hands to have a third to play with.
