If this is true then the motherboard should be showing below 40C because the motherboard doesn't read the temperature from the CPU, it uses a temp sensor in the socket.

If the motherboard CPU temp shows 60C at idle then something is seriously wrong.

This can probably be fixed with a BIOS update, no?

 

stuff like this is shit that AMD should have figured out before launch, because now people think that Ryzen runs hotter than it really does.

the article said that HWinfo said the same thing that the motherboard said. maybe it does read from the CPU temp sensor?

They should have posted screenshots because it sounds like they don't know the difference.
