Real talk, is the RX470 best price to performance (or performance to price :D) GPU of all time? Also to add, it dropped in price a bit (like all RX cards). Do you think the same as me? If not, what best buy GPU is for you?

You can get a RX 480 for almost the same price as a 470 now.

Last week on newegg. $144 for a reference 480.

it's more now, but you can get a powercolor 480 for $160 or a ASUS for $165

US=/=EU ;)

To be fair, in the UK, the prices for a RX480 is almost as low as a RX470 now...

RX470 at $150/£150 is just incredible value. It's an ultra 1080p 60fps, high or ultra 1440p 40fps+ and high 4K 30fps card for less than an kabylake i5 CPU...

Who thought there would be a day where people building a 1080p machine with a QC (that doesn't have potato IPC, so basically anything above Haswell) would have to spend more on the QC CPU? :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Of all time? I've been PC gaming since 2007 and it's pretty up there. The HD 4850 and 4870 are pretty up there too.

How is that relevant to his post? You should get off the internet for a bit.

Still, you should take that into consideration where he's located ;)

His question was "what GPU is the best buy for you?". Key words being "for you". Where he is located is not at all relevant to which GPU is the best price/performance FOR ME.

True to that, for instance once here in Brazil I bought a Titan X Maxwell for 350 dollars when the cheapest GTX 1070 was still pretty much more than the 400 dollars, and that Titan overclocked so freaking well it bested any 1070 it faced while with me, so that was the best GPU purchase for me.

Every case is different.

Talking about brand new cards I do think the rx480 has the best cost to performance in here, but I have never been much of an AMD fan, at least not in the GPU market so far because I did took my hat off for Ryzen.
