So about three weeks after i started using my new GPU, (MSI GTX 1060 GAMING X 6GB) I have been getting a reoccurring issue in which the screen goes black and the computer buzzes. I can restart to fix, but ~20-60 mins later it happens again. Notably, every time i start up windows the music buzzes a bit. I've noticed that the problem is where once the GPU is triggered (For a reason unknown), the fans on it go crazy and dont stop until i restart. It is able to handle anything, but the problem happens randomly.

Any solutions?

P.S. I am contacting MSI Technicians ASAP, as their hours are only on weekdays.

Could you expand on that? I am unfamiliar with that term but I have heard it before.

What CPU and motherboard are you using? I'm talking about using the built in graphics on your CPU rather than using your GPU and seeing if the same sort of symptoms persists.

Do you happen to have another you can try plugging it into? Maybe a family or friend's PC? Just to see if it works there.

Sadly, only laptops here. I would suspect the problem is either a fault GPU, Software prob (I updated drivers and it still hasn't occurred yet-- Hurray!) or a PSU issue. I will attempt to find another desktop to put it in soon. Notably, This issue hasn't been chronically prominent. It was rather recent, so theres a hint.

You said the fans went crazy but since the GPU has 2 fans, check and see if maybe one of the fans is dislodged or maybe anything that could make it not spin. I had a similar thing happen to one of my GPUs and that was the issue. It would eventually overheat each time I booted it up and then black screen...

As i was re applying the side panel of my case after looking in, there was a rattling noise. I will check on that, thank you!

Nothing stuck in fans, they just go to the max spin (sounds like) when the problem occurs.
