I bought these yesterday as an upgrade from my exceleram 2x2GB modules that worked at 1333MHz:

They work fine, but in the uefi the memory frequency shows up as 1065.14MHz. Shouldn't it appear as ≈2000MHz? Here are some uefi screenshots:

I tried loading optimized defaults, but it remains the same.

The motherboard is Gigabyte F2A88XM-D3H.

2000 might be the ddr frequency.

Actual frequency will be half.

To reiterate, the memory is running at the speed it was advertised since you double that number you're seeing. Sometimes you will see the halved number if you're in dual channel, other places will show the full speed.

You haven't enabled XMP so the frequency will go to the default which is 1066 MHz. Just enable XMP and it should go to 2000 MHz.

Also change your voltage to the rated voltage on the RAM modules.

NO, XMP memory should not be overclocked to 2ghz manually.

This, enable XMP.

Or just use XMP. You don't have to mess with timings and frequency and whatnot.

Turning on XMP will also overclock the CPU and base clock. He may not want that.

So, I should enable XMP, but disable CPU turbo boost, or whatever is the equivalent of that?

Not always, depends on the motherboard. Mine leaves the baseclock alone.

Turn it on and see what happens. It won't hurt anything. Just may not post to windows. If it doesn't then revert back to default. Or save a BIOS/UEFI profile to revert back to.

Switching it to profile1 does increase the memory frequency to 2000MHz, but it also increases the CPU frequency to 3.96GHz.

Change the system memory multiplier to 20 now and the CPU clock control to 100 MHz.

It posted successfully, and it did boot to Linux, so Windows should be fine as well.

You can do what DocSwag said or just keep the extra performance.

I will check the temps under load, but I think that CM Hyper TX3 should keep it cool enough. If I run into issues, I will do what DocSwag said.
