Hi everyone! I am planning to build my first PC soon and I need some advice on selecting several components. I'll be using it primarily for gaming at 1080p and also for photo editing. For a budget of SG$1800, here's a list of what I'm thinking:

MB + CPU: MSI Z87-G45-Gaming + 4570 = $480 (or get 4670k for $531?)

GPU: ASUS/MSI GTX 760 = $405 (or for a $100 more get an ASUS GTX 770?)

RAM: Corsair Vengence 1600MHz 8GB = $117

HDD: WD 1TB Black = $109

PSU: Seasonic 650W X = $179 (don't plan to SLI as I prefer single card solution)

As for air coolers I've read good reviews about Noctuas, any models to recommend? Also, which brand of monitor to get for a 23"(preferably IPS)?

Thanks! (:

Motherboard is a beast :)

unless you are planing to OC the shit out of ur CPU the 4670k would be a waste imo.

If its budget why not go with AMD for GPU?.

Ram is fine.

psu. i always recomend Corsair. and seeint hat ur 650W costs more than the Corsair AX760 you might want to check it out :)

LG sus BenQ IPS. i can find a model for you if you dont want to look for it urself.

For water cooling the H80 is pretty nice. for aircooling id go with the Hyper 212 Evo :)

Just my opinion tho.

your choices of "upgrades for more" are what I'd personally go for, since you are thinking of it and already chose intel + nvidia.

it's the question of "if you're willing to go so far, why not a little bit more?"

also seasonic is awesome :D

cheap air cooling that performs really well? CM 212

also, do you care for your build's looks at all?

Check out the build: Used to be Obot, now Lilith

Well, in fact, I do. But, since this system is a starting platform for me, nah...I'll be happy for it as long as I'm able to game and work on it for awhile. ^^

Haha, true. I thought so too. I guess once I get this done, then I'll start to go deeper into OCing and etc in the future.

Thanks for the responses guys! Really appreciate it.

if that's the case, see if you can get cheaper G. Skills sniper or Ripjaws (they're usually a tad cheaper - not much, but still looks decent)

and 4670k would be the thing to see if you want to OC, CM212 doesn't look half bad once you put nice fans on it :)

if you have spare $$$, get cable sleevings :)

Rough idea of what I'd recommend: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/218Q7
