Unable to get CPU temperatures

So on launch day i went to microcenter and bought a Ryzen CPU.  I had just got everything installed again and noticed that CPU temp wasnt showing up as an option for MSI afterburner.  So i got some other programs that i know should be showing the CPU temp.  No luck. so i blamed BIOS and got another motherboard but am having the same problem.  I can see the temperatures in the BIOS but after that i cant get them to show up in windows.  This mixed with not being able to find any options for overclocking in the BIOS is kinda annoying.

Does anybody know whats going on here because im totally stumped on this.

Afterburner will probably need to be updated to support it.

Use realtemp GT or something

hwinfo64, hwmonitor, there's so many things out that "should" work.

Ryzen master and HWinfo are working for me, however the name for CPU temp is under 'temperature 3' in the motherboard sensors (idk why). Curious to know what your idle temps are as mine seem really high at 50-60°C.

Interesting...

when i can see it in the BIOS it is usually somewhere around 30-50 but also i haven actually properly cooled it yet.  It is hooked up to my water chiller but i don't have it on right now and thus my system is being passively cooled by my reservoir.  If you want i can turn on my cooler and go grab a thermal probe to find out.

Would be interesting to know, for sure. The fact that you're seeing 30ish at some times indicates I have mounting pressure issues I need to look into further.
