Would it be possible to create a mobile app that can be "charged" with internet connection for later use? Like: charge it with wi-fi and use it later when you don't have free internet available.

Probably not possible for an application but what about something like a gadget?

If I understand what you're saying, you can probably download or just open a bunch of tabs, then read those when you don't have wifi.

Well you can't download internet haha. But yes you can download websites and stuff or videos for say, and look at them later.

Do you remember USB internet data sticks? Could something like that be possible? Like charge it while you have free connection for later use :D

I think the terminology is a bit odd here, as you're talking about "charging WiFi" which isn't possible. You can load pages as mentioned for later viewing, but you won't be able to do anything more than that.

Your just confusing me. Do you want to charge a phone with internet, because I don't think that is possible.

I think those usb internet data stick were either a usb wireless internet antena or a broadband antena you'd use from a mobile carrier..  They did not charge WiFi, as they have said above that's.. not really a thing.

The idea of downloading a bunch of sites in a better way than the regular browser cache does, in order to browse online is a good idea for an app that does this automatically, if you have a crawler and it goes deep, for example on the LTT forum, you could browse without realizing your offline. Theoretically.

Those were just adapters for mobile wifi on laptops. You could buy prepaid data packages in country you are in.
