Hello, how are you?

i am wondering about this.

immersion is proportional to how much of your field of view is taken by the display I guess.

so, what do you think gives the most immersion?

sitting at a desk with a 24 inch display or sitting on a couch playing on a 46 inch tv?

desk you sit at about 50 cm frontbencher display and couch about 2 meters.

cheers

This is why I use a 55" tv at regular computer monitor distance.

It's even more immersive than multi-monitor setups because there are no bezels.

i have a 27 inch monitor, and the previous was a 23 inch monitor. and it's a massive difference, adds into the immersion a bit. though not as well as an ultrawide or a big +50 inch TV. also have a 60 inch TV and it's pretty good for content consumption, but personally i think a 4k tv at the same size would be beneficial.
