I was thinking of getting a second 1080 in November as the price has gone down. I heard it isn't worth it if you are running at 1080p but if i set games to 4k using DSR will it be worth getting the second 1080 then?

well you would be making the most of the performance, but whether downsampling is actually worth it, well its just another form of AA.

 

I would personally choose a higher res monitor. Getting a GTX 1080 and playing at 1080p, 60fps just seems like a total waste of time, even if it does look good and using 4K textures and is working the card.

I found when i run games at 4K and then downsample i get better FPS than using high AA

No, get a 1440p or 4k Monitor instead of a second 1080.
