Low FPS in Kerbal Space Program

I have had Kerbal space program for a very long time and my main sandbox world was getting a bit laggy and i presumes it was from all the millions of bits of debris so i made a new sandbox world and copied my ships folder over to it so i still had all of them but i still get around 30 fps and at some areas i get 8fps and with my system that just seems wrong. How would i go about fixing this?

is it the same computer in you signature? 

 

if so try a reinstall.

 

Also are you running any mods or in 64bit ?

It is the same PC in my sig and i have a few mods and i am running it in 64 bit mode

could be some mods misbehaving, Try a free install then go from there.
