MILA missions in Fallout 4...

So right now I'm at a kinda complicated spot. I've sided with the Institute, I've killed Tinker Tom, and I can't finish any of the damn MILA missions. Am I SOL and stuck reloading a non-dead save, or is there some kind of console command to bring him back?

what's the purpose of the MILA missions anyway? I thought they were like preston's mission: perpetual tedium.

As far as I gather that seems to be basically what these are, but these have an end.

It's a radiant quest which means it's an infinitely repeating random quest.

IIRC, MILA missions are limited (because there are specific spots to place the MILAs). I think there are maybe 8 spots? 

But anyway, its not relevant to the game...just gives exp.
