Does it power on? If not then RIP your motherboard/CPU.

I get this problem sometimes when trying to stress test during overclocking. I usually unplug the psu for about 15 secs wait and make sure the entire power was drained (while psu is unplugged you can press the power button just to be sure) than plug the power back in and try booting. Sometimes you need to try it a few times. I had this happen to me the other day and draining power than rebooting fixed it.

What will that do and how could I try doing it

clearing the cmos will reset your bios to default, but you should do that if all else fails. Locate a battery on your mobo and remove it than put it back in.

Edit: I think your mobo doesn't have a batter according asus website it has 1 x Clear CMOS jumper(s). I've never used those before not sure how you would do it, but I'm sure someone else will help with explaining that.
