You can see Ryzen single core performance here !!! it beats intel 7700k and multi core performance DESTROY intel's 1000$+ CPUS !!!

Ryzen seems Fuckin Real to me now :)

What you guys think ? Even saw a video on youtube where ryzen has 10% more fps in GTA V than a 7700k !!!

I'm going to say that article is BS, but in any case real benchmarks come out in a few days, or maybe tomorrow, so just wait

If it beats the 7700K in any games, it's because it has 8 real cores, so if a game is fully utilizing 8 threads, it should be faster

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Linus seems content with doing the bare minimum for benchmarks nowadays though, gotta go to PCper, or Gamers Nexus for more in depth stuff

i think what he meant is that it is possible that people have done third parties benchmark already just like this article... and dont forget amd claimed their single core performance was as good as intel so this could confirm..

Anyway, yes gotta wait for more sources of course but just to say this looks very very promising for Ryzen, it looks like the BEST CPU overall and even gaming in 2017

Cant wait to  CONFIRM THIS in the next days/week to come

As good as a 6900K in Cinebench, where the 6900K doesn't go over 4ghz at stock settings, I suppose it's possible, but only if the Ryzen chip is hitting 4.5ghz or above, which seems unlikely

to add to this.  Many reviewers already have their benchmarks done and are waiting on the NDA to lift which I believe is Wednesday to release them.

i5-6600k @ 4.5ghz || XFX RX-480 GTR || 16gb DDR4 || Lots of SSD's.

The IPC was proven to be equal to, or up to 3% faster than 5th gen intel, so there is no feasible way it is faster in single core performance to any 6th gen or later intel processor, so please do not lie about these processors unless you are trying to hurt their, or your own reputation on this forum.

AMD's own benchmarks prove that ryzen IPC is, in fact, worse than Skylake/kabylake. Not to mention the higher clockspeeds of kabylake.

You cannot compare a 4 core processors overclockability to Ryzen's 8 cores, unless you are talking 1 core alone, and since I cannot even think of a program that uses 1 core, and will see a visible difference past 2ghz, It makes no sense to argue that factor.

Instead, we should measure how the upcoming 4 core and 6 core Ryzen's overclock vs their 8 core competitors, and see how they compare to Intel's upcoming processors, that would be a much fairer fight.
