Headphones stink

Hey guys got a pair of Sennheiser Gaming Zeros. Had them for 2-3 months and now they absolutely stink. SWEATY FEET SMELL. How do i get them to smell normal again? Febreeze, cleaning whipes?

That is your hygiene, it wouldn't just magically smell weird. You need to take more showers or something.

I get constant ear infections Shower daily.

Go see a doctor

I'd love to, money is an issue atm. But i can take apart the parts that smell so i should be able to clean them

Check if they are okay for washing machine or leave them in the sun.

This was my main worry, leather pads so not sure how to approach

try not to get alot of water in your ears, I don't think it compares but my dog gets alot of ear infections from water that splashes in.

What I usually do with my headphones is to remove the cups and submerge and clean them with water with handsoap or something. Hyperx Clouds though. Not sure if they would damage or if you can take yours off

I think you can just wash them with warm water. avoid soap.

I can take them off, water and soap seems safe enough, will give it a clean! thanks.

 

edit: apparently not soap?? might do a water and teatree/lavander mix instead.

Use COLD water and a minimal amount of soap for delicate fabrics, preferably without fragrance. Less is more.

 

As for your personal hygiene situation, either you are not cleaning yourself properly or you have a health condition.
