Help pc using to much RAM on W8

Z3G
Go to solution Solved by zeros,

Yes 7870.

Then update you graphics video driver. The problem should magically disappear xD.

Hi, my PC suddenly started using 75-82% of memory while I'm not doing anything. What do you think is the problem? I'm using windows 8. Last weak I remember it using only about 10-20% or less.

W8 is using too much RAM on my PC should have the title been :P.

Check Task Manager -> Processes -> and sort by memory. Tell us what is the first 5 or so and how much it uses.

Edit: You access task manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Delete or Ctrl+Alt+Delete or right click on taskbar and click on task manager :P

And how much do you have?

I have 8gb.

1) Chrome 85MB

2) Chrome 67MB

3) Service Host: Local System (Network restricted)(10) 69MB

4) Again Chrome 63MB

5) Steelseries Engine 57MB

But there is plenty of "Service hosts" running with less memory usage.

Did you sort it by Memory? because 85MB wont be the problem. For example for me the first one is firefox with 273MB then multiple chrome processes totaling with 617MB.

Yes. xsuh.pngUploaded with ImageShack.com

And I'm scaning the PC for viruses at  the moment that's why the disc is 99% usually its not.

Weird question but do you use an AMD Graphics card?

can you maybe check in your system details to see if the PC still recognizes all the RAM?

It still does. Even in task manager it says that the system is using 6,8gb out of 7,9GB.
