Is 1440p worth it?

If any of you guys have upgraded from 1080p to 1440p, please tell me whether it is such a big graphical leap in terms of gaming ONLY. I want graphics to look good but if 1080p looks not much worse than 1440p, i would get the former.

Any reply will be appreciated.

Yes, 1440p is worth it! BUT! You need to get a 27" 1440p monitor! That is the "Sweet Spot" for visual fidelity.

For instance, I switched back to 1080p a few days ago just to try it out, and sniping in BF1, Verdun, GTA V were all basically impossible. I also play the ps4, so won't it look like shit once i am accustomed to 1440p? If so, i would get 1080p.
