not really, everything in that setup is outdated. are you willing to build a pc for him and go used?

Good point. I know building a PC is the best option, I just need to get some confidence and stop being fearful of doing it!

look at videos online, if you want a pc thats powerful get a old oem pc, throw in an ssd and a hdd, get a new psu, throw in a cheap gpu like a 1050 ti or a price to performance option like a rx480.

looks like about the cost of it new. no familiar with those games and whether more cores are needed or not.

doesn't meet the minimum requirements for Hello Neighbor. think it said an i5 which is four cores and way faster. the other 2 games should be okay. Minecraft need a patch to run right but can't remember what it's called now..... old age...LOL

$250-$275 in the real world is all that thing is worth.

A few problems with this list.

why the FX 6300 (it's old and not very good), the motherboard doesn't support DDR4 and why a 750Ti when there is the 1050Ti which is a million times better.

I have played minecraft a whole lot and I can say that it needs a lot of CPU performance and it really likes quad cores, but with that budget you're lucky to get a hyper-threaded dual core. I'd suggest at least a G4560 and a gtx 1050ti or something. I wouldn't get an RX-series card because minecraft hates AMD cards for some reason (friend has an RX470 and it's horrible in minecraft)

That's true however waiting for a low-end Ryzen or getting an Intel Pentium G4560 would make much more sense.
