I just finished setting up my new computer and it gives me this error every time it boots up i look in and i see the coolermaster fan spinning and it forces me into the bios every time. The bios then reads the cpu fan and says that it is fine and show no other fan slots filled this is normal because i have them on the fan controller built into the case. the only fan on the mobo is the cooler master evo 212 one... how do i fix it :)

try another fan

Per haps if nothing else works but i really do not want to tear apart the whole thing and now after installing the intel chipset drivers it seems to have stopped doing it.

Can you set the CPU fan status to ignore ? norm possible where it reads the RPM

NP let us know if you fix it

From what I can tell that fixed it now dumb question was that just some strange issue because why would ignore the fan speed fix it... also it was always red saying the fan was only like 500 rpms... there is also an cpu optimum fan speed.. did i plug it in the wrong slot cause the mobo has 2 fan slots

probably put it in an optional fan header... or the bios is expecting the high rpm stock fan. I wouldn't be too worried, as the thermal limits will stop the pc if the fan dies.

I used to get this one all the time on my last PC with an asus mobo.  I also use AI suite II.  I think I just made sure everything was set defalt in the bios fan settings and only used the fan settings in AI suite II.  Im not exaclty sure what happened but the cpu fan error seemed to fix itself.

I had thought the fan error could have been triggered by a false low rpm fan warning which said the fan was running at 0 rpm when it was actually working fine..

EDIT: also try updating bios if your not using the latest..
