Mouse pad question?

Hello,

 

I'm thinking about buying this mousepad for my work office.  I have it at home and I love it.  I use primarily my laptop(Alienware 15 R3) at work, and I plan on putting the mousepad underneath the laptop.  Question is, will the soft cloth hinder the air flow very much?  Sometimes I do intensive tasks and I play some games on break, and I don't feel like overheating my laptop.
